American Aberdeen Cattle
Meet our Cattle
We chose to raise American Aberdeen cattle, formerly known as Lowline Angus, because of their smaller size, docile nature and easy calving. They’re also known for their ability to produce prime carcasses on grass-only diets.
Our Bull
LGL Ultra Violet, our registered fullblood red bull, was bred by Lazy G Ranch in Vale, Oregon. UV, as we call him, is a grandson of LGL Bluey, the first red American Aberdeen bull imported to the US from Australia. We bought him together with another farm who raises American Aberdeen cattle in Philomath, Oregon. He is gentle and friendly. UV spends half his year with his cows at High Point Farmstead, the other half with his cows in Philomath. A situation he seems quite satisfied with.
