Some of what we do at High Point Farmstead
We are a small family run farm in the mid-Willamette Valley of western Oregon.
At High Point Farmstead we aim to raise happy animals in a healthy environment. We keep a small herd of American Aberdeen cows, along with their calves and a bull that we share with another farm, and give them a good life from start
to finish. They provide us with healthy pasture-raised and grass-finished meat for our family as well as a few others in the surrounding community. Our dairy goats, which are mostly Oberhasli, produce enough milk for our family
with enough extra that we are able to offer raw milk herdshares to the surrounding community. Our wethers and bucks spend their time clearing brush and keeping areas that the cows can’t access clear of weeds and blackberries. A job
they seem to relish. This past year we purchased a small group of Barbados Blackbelly sheep from a registered herd in western Oregon. They should have their first lambs later this year. They’ll be helping the goats keep
the grass down in areas where the cows can’t go. In exchange we provide them all a safe and nurturing environment in which to thrive.
Oberhasli Dairy Goats
Our dairy goats are part of a herdshare program that produces raw goat milk for herdshare members. Our does produce deliciously rich and creamy milk.
American Aberdeen Cattle
We raise registered American Aberdeen cattle, formerly known as Lowline Angus. This breed is quite docile, hardy and easy to care for.
Barbados Blackbelly Sheep
We have a small herd of Barbados Blackbelly sheep. These hair sheep are known for their beauty as well as their hardiness.
